Creep [Bitpop] - Tribute to Radiohead

about

Made exclusively with the sounds of the Commodore 64 MOS6581 Multi-SID

This is probably the song that people know Radiohead for but it was a slow starter. It faltered at the start gate in 1992 but then exploded when re-released in 1993. Now its considered a classic.

Those heavy guitars were a bit tricky to eek out of the SID and they take up six sound channels just by themselves.

Made with creepy love,
Gavin

lyrics

When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry

You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
And I wish I was special
You're so fuckin' special

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul

I want you to notice
When I'm not around
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo.
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.

She's running out again,
She's running out
She's run run run run

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fuckin' special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep, I'm a weirdo,
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here.
I don't belong here.

Gavin (zer0Page) Graham Brisbane, Australia

I was a demoscene programmer back in the 80s on the Commodore 64 computer. Part of what I did was write a sound player to exploited tricks to make its sound chip to some conceptually far fetched tricks.
Years later, I've revived my musical bent for the C64 but now I combine modern songs with these sounds of one of the greatest sounding computers of any generation.
